The Madison Color Guards are getting ready for the next season of competitions very shortly. The group just came
off a great season of Winter Guard where the girls were the smallest color guard in the very competitive class A. This
years group was an absolute thrill to be around all year long. From the start of rehearsals this season, there was a
magic in the air. The guard told the story of growing through the stages of life and then the start of it all over again.
Every contest was an improved show for this guard which ended the season at State Championships missing the final round that
night by only .10 of a point. They all decided that they got to tell their story this year and were extremely pleased
that they pushed as hard as they could and everyone felt like champions this season. This was one of those magical years
that no one who was around this group will ever forget. Thank you ladies for the great performances and the wonderful
story that you told this season.

Winter Guard 2009
We are already in the planning stages for the winter guard season of 2009. We are once again going to compete in
WGI contests and are planning to take some nice trips in Winter Guard including a Florida Trip as well as attending the WGI
World Championships. Winter Guard fund raising will be starting this Spring to defur the costs per student as well as
to help with making sure that 2009 is the best winter guard season ever. We are really putting a lot into the show for
2009 so get ready to be a part of the excitement, or help cheer us on.
Winter Guard Banquet:
The 2008 Winter Guard Banquet is going to be held in conjunction with Paoli's Winter Guard this year. Since the
two groups have gotten along so well and supported each other so much this season, both groups have expressed to me that they
would like to have a banquet together. This is great to hear from the students and parents of both schools enjoying
being a part of this activity together and having a great time supporting each other and making friends. The banquet
date and time will be announced on the website very shortly.
Margaux Auxier:
Congratulations to former Madison Guard member and current staff member, Margaux Auxier. She is a member of Usurpation
Winter Guard from Kokomo, Indiana. Usurpation has been a finalist at every regional they have attended and are looking
forward to making Indepenent class A Finals at the WGI World Championships in Dayton Ohio. Madison is very proud of
Margaux and we will all be cheering her on at WGI.
